Christmas Dream
Our Lord hath a dream this night,
Wanting humans to recall their worth.
In winter days arises a bright light,
And avises, in Bethlehem, the virgin birth.
Maria, Joseph and Jesus in a farmer's stable,
People following the light to his son
Whose life should be marvelous, mirable
For love and peace, that should be done.
Our Lord still dreams tonight, thinking
And looking at a thousand years with a smile
How children's eyes will be twinkling
By feeling his Christmas Dream for a while.
But our Lord hath to dream anon, concerned,
To show us, humans, what we still haven't learned.
Our Lord hath a dream this night,
Wanting humans to recall their worth.
In winter days arises a bright light,
And avises, in Bethlehem, the virgin birth.
Maria, Joseph and Jesus in a farmer's stable,
People following the light to his son
Whose life should be marvelous, mirable
For love and peace, that should be done.
Our Lord still dreams tonight, thinking
And looking at a thousand years with a smile
How children's eyes will be twinkling
By feeling his Christmas Dream for a while.
But our Lord hath to dream anon, concerned,
To show us, humans, what we still haven't learned.
