After synchronizing rhythm to limerick tune I liked it much.
It is possible, indeed, without changing the text.

Yes, I think the key to the limerick rhythm is, to emphasize "you" in the third line - which is perfectly alright.

Thanks to Bernd's comments, I'm taking more care to follow the limerick rules more strictly. Thank you!

Indeed it was the key.

Said an old butcher's lecherous wife:
"This night take me four times or five!
If you make it less,
I'd rather play chess
and cut off your balls with a knife!"


There is no rule violation.

But: I'd use the parallelity:


Said an old butcher's lecherous wife:
"This night take me four times or five!
If you'll make it less,
than I will play chess
and cut off your balls with a knife!"
