Dead and shut
A hamm’ring bothered me and made me shiver,
There was an anger in my heart so cruel:
A fire could be started without fuel.
Destruction was the produce to deliver!
You plaid your cards and plaid them pretty cool.
The words you said had made me shake and quiver,
My soul was full in turmoil like a river
That rallied after snowmelt with no rule
And swallowed all the landscape in its ride!
I looked in icy eyes so dark of treason
Which were a mirror of your steely pride
And asked for arguments and reason
For what you did to me that stirred my blood
And made me wish these eyes were dead and shut.
