March 2008 Palestine

Miriam,
mother in Gaza,
seeing her young children
stumbling,
falling down
to the roar of Israeli-war-planes in the air.

Miriam,
kissing her dead sons eyes,
in that moment her universe fell.

Miriam,
I hear your voice
ever
in my bad dreams,
Miriam
calling Allah for justice,
screaming: Revenge,
crying in desolation.

And then
out come the gun-man,
the „terrorist“,
killing the settlers sons,
giving his own live
proudly
in memory
of all the Gaza-Ghetto’s
lost children.

Hallo Oblomow

Ich habe Deine Berichtigungen fast alle übernommen.

Mit den Apostrophen frag ich lieber nochmal nach.

Du schreibst:
kissing her dead sons eyes, / her dead [red]sons' [/red]eyes??

Also: ich meinte Plural: ihrer toten Söhne

killing the settlers sons, / the [red]settlers'[/red] sons
auch hier Plural: die Söhne der Siedler

Ist das ok dann mit den beiden Apostrophen, wie Du sie gesetzt hast?

Danke Dir für die Hilfe und einen schönen Tag

Würdest du nicht auch the children's eyes schreiben? Wessen Augen, wessen Söhne? [blue]-> Genitiv![/blue]
Nun ist children keine regelmäßige Pluralform. Die regelmäßige Pluralform endet nämlich bereits auf ...s (etwa the sons, the settlers udgl.); in diesem Fall kannst du the sons's eyes und the settlers's sons schreiben, bevorzugt wird aber das einfache Anhängen eines Apostrophs.

Aus dem Deutschen kennt man das auch: Markus' Hund, Schmitz' Katze und Max' Goldfisch.
