You gave me a present and then broke my phone

You said you are honest and lied in my face
You said you respect me and destroyed my place
You started a fight and tried to defuse
You swore you’d protect me and gave me a bruise

You promised you’d never hit anymore
You told me and crashed me through the door
You’d act like an angel but made my life hell
You lifted me up and smiled when I fell

You made me believe that all was my fault
You asked for peace and planned your assault
And now that it’s over I finally see
The monster’s inside you and not inside me
