Pandora`s Box

The fiery wagon, it sped by
saluting a new day
all red and yellow glowed the sky
the sun was on its way

Prometheus craved the golden shine
and soon he framed a plan
he stole the fire so divine
and granted it to man

To earth he brought his precious prey
and Zeus` wrath awoke
mankind for this will have to pay
the father fiercely spoke

Pandora was the virgin`s name
and godlike was her sight
to carry out her fatal aim
He sent her down one night

She brought with her a baneful box
disease and pain inside
once opened evil never stops
forever hope within will hide

In iron chains was put the thief
for eagles as a prey
not even death will bring relief
eternally he`ll stay
