There was a young teacher named Ginter
who swam in the sea in the winter,
[ 4][ 4]after only one yard
[ 4][ 4]she was frozen so hard,
that she suddenly started to splinter.

yes in my opinion was this a female name, like Ginger or Liz, but if you´think it was a he not a she, please than excuse me

I found it as surname. In this case, only the pronoun says whether it is male or female. But it may be derived from a first name or it may be, that it exists as first name.

In our case, however, I changed (adjusted) the poem - so they fit.
