carnivore blossom

you took your life
at the time
I took a picture
of our children´s
masquerade

... they had just changed
into silent movie stars
he: wearing Charly Chaplin´s
hat and cane
she: proudly presenting
mom´s platinum silver
girlie dress ankle-deep and
topped with that dusty
black feathered hat
of long ago moods
its veil pictured tiny shadows
square dancing on her cheaks
in slow motion while
the soft ambitious sun
pure june sun
kept warming the strawberry´s
embarrassingly red heads
within the green green garden

... carnivore blossom
pollinates some scent
of morbid sweetness
into the dense air
of fragile surrender
inevitably connecting me
to this long distance
call of the wild
look in your eyes
they turned to ashes
burning the way
into a vague shade
of lighter blue

Good evening,

An amazing atmosphere. I really enjoyed reading it. This contrast between the morbid and life.

Dear La Noche,

...and I enjoy having someone like you to make such a friendly comment about it. Sometimes I feel a little ashamed - thinking I always write about the same things ;-(

That´s why I decided to hide it in English (and in this rarely visited corner). Kind of a strange behavoir, I must confess ...

Best wishes

Elke

Dear Elke,

Alone the change of the language gives writing a completely different spice. And I don't think that writing about the same things is a bad habit as long as it's well done. I just read your poem again, and I'm still so fascinated by these pictures, they seem so clear, so intensive.

Have a nice Sunday,
