It was written all over the papers, even some national ones. A man in his early 30s had been poisoned. His name: John Milllen. He had drunk a coffee at Clapham picture house, which had been laced with the poison, strong enough to kill him, before watching the first movie of the Harry Potter series. The motive didn’t seem clear at first. He had – so the papers, worked as a person dealing with the washing up at the local French restaurant (plancher) at the Gastro. According to the spokeswoman of the local police station, the motive was that of jealousy. The ex-boyfriend of a certain Madeleine, a waitress at the Gastro had found a note saying Je t’aime, John, in his ex-girlfriend’s room. He had gained access by using a spare set of keys. He had followed his victim, and had exchanged the little sachets with sugar at the coffee outlet with the poison, which he had bought from somebody on the internet. It was a mischievous murder indeed. – Premeditated. He got 10 years on probation.
