The peace of wood

And when I woke at last I tried to clutch
the last piece of the jig that had been sawn,
I begged the world to take my piece in pawn,
I'd pay in full, for in my head it's such

a wholesome image, taken out of touch
when leeches came, the bleach, all life withdrawn.
I wished for red to draw a perfect dawn,
not drown in blood, but I have asked too much.

If I had been a fraction of the ways
I've seen myself inside this fractured shell,
if I had left the sea and come ashore,

if I had left the dark and been the days...
But pawn by pawn I came apart and fell,
and that last peace of wood dreams queen no more.

Hi A.!
(no replay nessecary)

Da ich Englisch nicht spreche, habe ich
Erbsen, nein, Silben gezählt.
Z3,7,8 und 10 sind 11-silbig (?).

Beim Versuch laut zu lesen, stolperte ich
1-2 mal regelmäßig immer an den gleichen
Stellen.(Leider kann man beim Antworten
das Gedicht nicht sehen, sodaß ich mich
nicht genau an die Stellen erinnere.)
