On your own

Even if you are surrounded by crowds
You are on your own
No one can touch you
You hide behind walls of masks
Even if one mask is pulled off – there are others
You yourself don’t always know what your real face is

You put on the masks
Because you were not longer able to bear solitude
You experienced that
If you show your face – everyone turns his back on you
Better an accepted mask
Than showing your face to loneliness.
